How does the first-month discount work?

That's why your first month is heavily discounted — it gives you a full billing cycle to test our API in your real environment and see if it fits your needs. From the second month onward, the regular plan price applies automatically. No action is required on your part.

Can I cancel during the first 10 days?

Yes. If you decide Smart Pet API is not the right fit within the first 10 days of your subscription, you can request a full refund by clicking "Cancel Subscription" in your dashboard or by using the contact details available there after login. We'll process the cancellation and refund promptly — no questions asked.

How do I cancel after the first 10 days?

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard under Account → Subscription. Your access will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You won't be charged again after cancellation.

Will my credit card data be stored?

Accepted Answer

Never. All payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Smart Pet API never sees or stores your card details.

How do I get my API key?

Once your payment is confirmed, your account is automatically created and your API key is generated. You can find it in your dashboard at any time. Keep it secret — treat it like a password.

What happens if I exceed my monthly request limit?

API calls beyond your plan's monthly limit will return an HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) response. Your access will resume at the start of the next billing cycle. If you regularly exceed your limit, we recommend upgrading to a higher plan from your dashboard.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

All plans include JSON and CSV. The Business and Business Gold plans also include XML. The response format is controlled via a query parameter in each request — see the documentation for details.

We don't offer a permanent free tier, but our discounted first month is designed as a low-risk way to evaluate the API with live data. It costs a fraction of the regular price so you can make an informed decision before committing long term.

Developer plans include a 99.5 % SLA, Business plans a 99.9 % SLA, and Business Gold plans a 99.99 % SLA. Business Gold customers can request a formal SLA contract. Historical uptime is published on our status page.
